What in blazers name?

Posh up a tweed blazer with sequins & pearls

The blazer is having a very long moment. I enjoyed one such moment back in 2003, a useful black cotton number that basically went well with everything. Blazers are a great transition into the Autumn months – yes, clearly I’m in total denial that in Israel it’s still shmoiling outside. Having recently acquired a pair of jeans that are begging to be paired with a great winter blazer (yes, begging – I can hear them crying in my wardrobe) I’m excited to have another opportunity to try some on! Here’s a couple of delicious ways of wearing them….

Mixing up patterns, and a good rolled-up sleeve.

Love what is happening here!

A cotton blazer over a lighter fabric is a nice way to pretend it’s getting colder! Also an easy way to smarten up a summer dress for work, with the help of a belt.

All-out preppy blazer madness. Would you?

Autumn

11 Oct

Autumn – I miss you….

Four Seasons fill the measure of the year;
There are four seasons in the mind of man:
He has his lusty Spring, when fancy clear
Takes in all beauty with an easy span:
He has his Summer, when luxuriously
Spring’s honied cud of youthful thought he loves
To ruminate, and by such dreaming high
Is nearest unto heaven: quiet coves
His soul has in its Autumn, when his wings
He furleth close; contented so to look
On mists in idleness—to let fair things
Pass by unheeded as a threshold brook.
He has his Winter too of pale misfeature,
Or else he would forego his mortal nature.
